“Qursan” is considered one of the most well-known traditional heritage dishes in Buraydah and central Saudi Arabia. It is regarded as one of the main dishes historically associated with the local community, as it relies on whole wheat flatbread, vegetables, and meat that reflect the region’s rich agricultural environment.
Qursan continues to maintain a strong presence in family gatherings and social occasions to this day, representing an important element of the local culinary identity. It is also served in a number of restaurants and heritage events as one of the most prominent dishes of traditional Najdi cuisine.
