The idea of ​​launching the “Kleja Festival” came at the initiative of His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, “Emir of the Qassim Region”, since the Kleja is considered a cultural heritage and a symbol of the traditional popular dishes that reflect the culture of Buraydah and its distinction throughout the ages.

The annual Kleija Festival is held in Buraidah, which aims to preserve the popular heritage of the region also support productive families, young men and women by highlighting, publishing and introducing the Kleija product. The festival began its first edition in 2009, usually hegd in January, and continues annually as a result of its success, which increases every year and its impact on productive families, which contributes to the success of their small projects and popular dishes prepared from home.
